Mother and child bison at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center on Seward highway, Alaska. 

While driving to Seward from Anchorage I stopped at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, which rehabs injured animals. A very interesting facility where you can get very close to moose, bears, elk and other creatures you might otherwise miss. They had a whole compound for bison.  I noticed this touching image of a mother bison, not exactly a warm and fuzzy animal, comforting its baby.
