 The dramatic Takshanuk Mountains, surrounding Haines Alaska, are momentarily visible during a short cloud clearing.

I was set up on one of the eagle outloks along the Chilkat River near Haines Alaska.  It had been heavily overcast  since I arrived in Haines.  Briefly, very briefly, the late morning clouds cleared revealing the dramatic Takshanuk Mountains with the sun subtly highlighting the upper peaks.  I momentarily stopped taking pictures of bald eagles and quickly made this delicate image of the mountains just peeking out from the clouds, which enveloped the mountains very soon after I clicked the shutter.
