Tourist boat on Lago Argentino in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia, Argentina. 

When standing in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier it is difficult to appreciate its enormity.   Even if you know that the face of the glacier is over 3 miles wide and averages 240’ in height it’s still hard to really appreciate its overwhelming stature.  Later in the afternoon, after it had become overcast, I was still taking pictures of the glacier, when, for no reason, I turned around and noticed a three story tourist boat sailing away from the glacier- which gave the size of the Perito Moreno Glacier some much appreciated perspective.
