Face of the Perito Moreno Glacier

A section of the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia in Argentina.

The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the more awe inspiring sites one experience in Patagonia.  It’s sheer size, over three miles wide and 240’ tall, proximity, about 48 miles from El Calafate in souther Argentina, and accessibility, there are walkways all along the southern face of the glacier as well as hikes on to the glacier, make it a photographer’s paradise.  Its also one of those sights you stand in front of where its enormity makes you feel small and insignificant.  In order to capture a closeup of the glacier and still shows it’s power I made a series of shots and stitched them together to make this panorama.
