Ice Cave on Davidson Glacier

Ice Cave on the Davidson Glacier between Juneau and Skagway in Alaska.

We had a great morning exploring  the Davidson Glacier, a small tidewater glacier just off the Lynn Canal between Juneau and Skagway.   Because of the melting ice a large number of small lakes and streams were created on the glacier, one of which carved out a small ice cave.  The green silt water exposed the clear blue glacial ice which is surrounded by ancient ice covered with ground up rock leading into an dodgy dark cave- an uncommon sight which made for a very intriguing image.
