Crimson sunrise over the Three Towers in Torres del Paine. 

We drove to Laguna Amarga in the dark  to get a direct, heads up, view of, what I hoped would be, the Three Towers at sunrise in front of a picturesque lake. Unfortunately, just as the sun started to rise, the wind didn’t cooperate and the there was no clear reflection.  On the other hand, the clouds did cooperate and the morning light reflecting off the clouds and bouncing off the the Tree Towers gave us a truly memorable morning  sunrise.  The colors were a deep and intense, almost unreal, red crimson that spotlighted the granite peaks, separating them from the surrounding mountains and making them seem to float, with the pink clouds, above the darker foothills.
